Owner

Josh Blount’s passion for high level craftsmanship began at the age of 13 while working for a custom cabinet shop on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. This job, working summers, interning in school, and then several years full time, was the start of his 23 year long career.

In 2006, his love of surfing brought him to the North Shore of Kaua`i - working as a carpenter, foreman, and in time project manager for Brower Homes. Josh has over 17 years of experience building custom homes on Kaua`i and is committed to be constantly learning and improving.

Josh Blount Construction was founded in 2017. Attention to detail and building homes to last is the goal of every one of our projects.

Andy Molnar

Andi brings an old world level of craftsmanship to the team: commitment to perfection and quality work with every task. Andi, originally from Switzerland, has spent decades in the construction industry all around the world. From his apprenticeship programs in Switzerland to New Zealand, Bali, mainland USA to now Hawaii, Andi brings that knowledge to all of our projects. Andi spends his free time hanging out with his family and when he has time, surfing.

In partnership with master woodworker Dean Mayer, we are happy to offer in house services for custom milling, doors, windows, cabinets and more; the imagination is the limit.

Dean is one of the most experienced woodworkers on the island with an unrivaled passion for creating. Decades of milling the community’s felled trees provides Dean opportunities to curate locally sourced wood slabs. We are happy to collaborate to build your custom design.

Tanya Mayer

Office Manager

Born and raised on the Island of Kaua’i, Tanya earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at UH Manoa in 2013. Tanya’s high level organization and office management allow us to stay focused on the challenges in the field. In her free time, Tanya loves to travel, listen to Taylor Swift, and spend time with her family and friends.
